Powerfulmenarewelladvisednottouseviolence,
Forviolencehasahabitofreturning;
Thornsandweedsgrowwhereveranarmygoes,
Andleanyearsfollowagreatwar.
Ageneraliswelladvised
Toachievenothingmorethanhisorders:
Nottotakeadvantageofhisvictory.
Nortoglory,boastorpridehimself;
Todowhatisdictatedbynecessity,
Butnotbychoice.
Foreventhestrongestforcewillweakenwithtime;
Thenitsviolencewillreturn,andkillit.
