Istheactionofnaturenotunlikedrawingabow?
Whatishigherispulleddown,andwhatislowerisraised;
Whatistallerisshortened,andwhatisthinnerisbroadened;
Nature'smotiondecreasesthosewhohavemorethantheyneed
Andincreasesthosewhoneedmorethantheyhave.
Itisnotsowithmen.
Mendecreasethosewhoneedmorethantheyhave
Andincreasethosewhohavemorethantheyneed.
Togiveawaywhatyoudonotneedisflow.
Sothegentlegivewithoutexpectation,
Accomplishwithoutclaimingcredit,
Anddesirenoostentation.
